Music Can Change the World
CHENNAI
In Chennai, music is perseverance. A testament to what young people will do when given a chance.

DISTANCE, DEDICATION, DESTINY
Building on its successful work in Kolkata, where it helped establish and nurture the Kolkata Youth Sinfonietta, Keys of Change USA has launched its newest initiative in Chennai. Through the Chennai Youth Sinfonietta (CYS), talented young musicians gain access to world-class mentorship and opportunities that would otherwise be beyond their reach.
For many young musicians, CYS is the only place where their talent can grow.

Ratshita, 12 — Violin
From Tuticorin, she travels nearly 1,500 km every week to attend rehearsals.
She began violin at age six and refuses to let distance define her limits.
“Keys of Change USA helped me learn, perform, and discover who I can become.”
Raaga Varshini, 17 — Violin
Homeschooled and without advanced teachers in her area, Raaga balances intense academic work with training in violin, piano, guitar, Carnatic and Western vocals, and composition.
“Keys of Change USA gave me opportunities I could never get at home—a family, guidance, and a place to grow.”
Michael Armstrong, 22 — Clarinet
A clarinetist of 14 years, CYS is the first orchestra he ever played in.
Through Keys of Change USA and the international mentors who visit Chennai, he learned expression, ensemble listening, and emotional interpretation.
“Keys of Change USA helped me understand music deeply.”
Building Long-Term Resonance
This film follows the authentic, long-term relationships Panos has built through music, focusing on a visual approach that captures the raw emotion of performance in non-traditional spaces.
